Book Contract News
Yep. Sold another book. When the world went inside for three year, myself included, I had time on my hands because I wasn’t commuting to work. I used the glorious time to plan and write a Young Adult historical magical realism book about a mermaid. I am now a proud member of the Melange Books/Fire and Ice (YA) publishing company. Can’t wait for you to read The Mermaid Riot. It is scheduled for release in January/February 2024.
New Teaching Gig
It’s been my dream for a long time to teach in a creative writing MFA program, and the dream has become my new reality! I start in the fall teaching genre fiction for Southern New Hampshire University online. I love teaching writing which to me means helping writers find their story, voice, and niche and then fine-tune the product with edits and revisions. I’ve been teaching young college students in English Composition courses and a vast number of genre writers in my workshops nationwide for years. This is a step up and a chance for me to coach folks from being writers into being published authors. Happy, happy, joy, joy!
