Many writers fear the blank page. I understand that it can represent everything from expectations to questions to wonder, but I've never been afraid of it. I like space to move around which comes from my background in dance. When I see a blank page, I'm excited to fill it with ideas, drivel, etc. then go back to the beginning to edit/revise/polish.
I get the same excited feeling when it's time to curate a new box for My WriteDay. The first thing I do is set up an empty box that represents all the space and possibilities I have. Then I think about a theme based on the season and the writing craft book chosen for the box. Then I go on a hunt for items that will educate, support, and entertain a writer as they work on the next blank page.
I try to put myself in your house slippers and imagine what it feels like to be faced with the wonder and potential of the blank page and hope that "the writer's party in the purple box" will help you conquer the fear and the words. I hope everyday is a fantastic WriteDay for you!
