Three Internet Sites Devoted to MOM Writers
Did you know that thousands of people are “mom writers?” I was a freelance writer before I was a mom writer, and learning to juggle work deadlines with raising and homeschooling two darlings was a challenge in the beginning. There weren’t many internet sources for help, and since I live in a smallish community, networking was slim. I did have one super writing mom pal all the years our children were growing up who lived nearby and was a good friend and solid critique partner.
Now writing “mompreneurs” have many resources for support available on the web. Take a look at these ideas and see if any suit your needs.
Momswhowrite.org is a non-profit organization on the web with a blog open to submissions from mom writers, an e-commerce link to their Etsy shop where you can find nifty items like t-shirts and mugs, and a regular email newsletter.
Moms Writers Club was started in 2020 by author Jessica Payne. She offers a newsletter and a YouTube channel.
Writer Moms Inc. is a private Facebook group for sharing the journey of being a mommy and a writer.
Despite the balancing act, I love every minute of being a writer mom.
Do you have any tips for meeting the challenges of being a writer mom?
I hope your WriteDay is fantastic!
