Bio: My name is Jessie Miller. I'm 37 years old with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in Spanish. I'm a perpetual student of life with interdisciplinary interests. Currently I am a YouTube content creator while I battle a chronic health condition called vestibular migraine. My passions include creative journaling, listening to music, horseback riding, hiking, birding, nature photography, and learning/educating about the natural world (particularly freshwater ecosystems).
I uploaded my first video to YouTube in July 2019. During the prior Spring I found a giveaway for a year's subscription to a subscription box called Confetti Collection, advertised as a stationery subscription. Who doesn't love stationery? I won and had no idea what that was going to lead me to. I had never heard of subscription boxes before and started doing some research. Before I knew it I was watching subscription box influencers on YouTube who has entire channels dedicated to unboxing these alluring subscription boxes. After about a season of watching I realized it was something I could do and I joined in on the joy of receiving a monthly package in the mail. I enjoy bringing a variety of boxes to the channel. Some of my favorite genres to unbox are science and nature (of course!), stationery, journaling/collage paper craft supplies, writing and book boxes, jewelry, crystals, lifestyle, and so much more. There is a subscription box out there for everyone. In the past year I have also started sharing the journal collages I make from the paper crafting subscription boxes and hauls I show on my channel.
My favorite part of this journey is the friendly and supportive community I have created on YouTube. Whether it's chatting with fellow creators or subscription box enthusiasts, I've met so many wonderful people who I consider my friends. I also am honored if I help someone find a box they love or inspire folks to start the relaxing and meditative hobby of creative journaling. My least favorite part of the process is editing my videos. I didn't start this journey to spend hours video editing and I still just do the basics. Everything I do is self-taught, which I'm proud of. However, there is always more to learn.
