She said she wanted to be able to hand my book to students who shared their relationship challenges during her office hours. Isn' t that wonderful? I wish I had had a professor like that in college!
That's a great idea. I had my first breakup in college, and this girl in my dorm who I wasn't even particularly close with stopped by my room and gave me a copy of a poem. (I think it was called "Comes a Time" but it was many years ago!) She said, her mom had given it to her when SHE had her first breakup. It helped me a lot. I later wondered if she passed on her own copy or had a stock of them. (This was before everyone had computers, so she'd have had to go to the library to make a copy of it.)
